The Museum of Fine Arts to Re-open for Visitors

After three months of lockdown closure the Museum of Fine Arts and the Hungarian National Gallery will reopen to the public on 20June. The museums were closed due to the COVID-19 emergency in mid-March, after which visitors only had the opportunity to view the collections online. The permanent exhibitions and the Museum of Fine Arts’ dossier exhibition of graphic art The Age of Dürer, mounted specifically for the re-opening, can be visited but health safety guidelines must be observed.

The Age of Dürer. German Drawings and Prints from the Collection of the Museum of Fine Arts opening now and running through mid-October will exhibit graphic art works of two centuries from the German-speaking areas of the Gothic and Renaissance periods to Mannerism. The drawings will be displayed along with some of Dürer’s outstanding prints at the show comprising more than fifty sheets.
