Currently working as an associate professor at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Hungary, Katalin Kopecskó graduated in chemical engineering in 1990 and earned a PhD in 2006. For a long time, she has been working in collaboration with the Hungarian University of Fine Arts and its conservators. Her fields of research include durability and deterioration processes of materials, cement hydration, diagnostics, mineralogical and microstructural analysis, X-ray diffraction (XRD), thermal analyses (TG/DTG/DTA), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM)
