One can observe the influence of Venetian Gothic art on this limestone tabernacle made in Verona, at the beginning of the fifteenth century. The richly decorated niche is framed by, twisted columns and a frieze with ornamental foliage , and it is crowned by a Gothic tympanum adorned with palmettes. The half-length figure of an angel, a recurring motif of Venetian art from the thirteenth century, is placed in the tympanum. On the scroll held by the angel, one can read the Latin words GLORIA CHRISTI. On the sides, there is another angel and presumably the figure of the Virgin in the pinnacles.
