The statue depicts the young god, Dionysos. He leans lightly against the tree trunk which serves as a support for the statue and is covered with grapes, an attribute of the deity. He is wearing leather boots and goat’s skin. There is a fragmentary panther in front of the tree trunk.
Marble analyses have shown that the statue was made of Afyon marble.
