The stele shows two female figures. A young woman stands on the left. She wears a chiton and himation, her hair is tied with a veil. A similarly dressed elderly woman sits before her on a backless chair with a footstool, draping her mantle over her head. The edges of the mantles are elegantly pulled from their body in a gesture typical of brides and married women. The relief probably depicts mother and daughter, but — lacking an inscription —, we do not know which of them it commemorates. The scene is framed by two columns, and crowned with a lotus-palmette frieze.
