Victor Vasarely’s early drawings and graphic designs in the Collection of the Museum of Fine Arts – Vasarely Museum It was towards the end of the 1950s that Victor Vasarely decided to take a stand against the political prejudices of the times, convince the Hungarian devotees of socialist realism, and organize an exhibition in Hungary that would represent the progressivism of the new geometric abstract art of the period.

We kindly inform our visitors about the following changes: - on Thursday, 27th of March due to technical reason the Museum will be open only between 10 am - 5 pm. The entry will be allowed until 4.00 pm. The closing of the permanent exhibitions will go on from 4.30 pm, while the temporary exhibition Raphael will close at 4.50 pm; - on Saturday, 29th of March due to the event planned on the Heroes' square the Museum will be open only between 10 am - 1 pm. The entry will be allowed until 12.00 pm. The closing of the permanent exhibitions will go on from 12.30 pm, while the temporary exhibition Raphael will close at 12.50 pm.
